Main Benefits

  • Duty Exemption: exemption from duties and quota charges on re-exports – with the notable exception of exports to Canada and Mexico under NAFTA.
  • Duty Deferral: In an FTZ, customs duties, and federal excise taxes on imports are deferred until the merchandise leaves the zone to enter U.S. Customs territory.
  • Quota Avoidance: FTZ users have the benefit of storing these goods within the zone even after the quota has been reached. Businesses can access inputs at potentially lower costs and to admit merchandise as soon as a new quota year begins.
  • Cash Flow Benefits: Quarterly payment of the Harbor Maintenance Fee instead of paying it at the time of each import’s arrival. Merchandise Processing Fees are only due when goods leave the zone, further aiding in effective cash flow management.

QUALITY POLICY

In order to consolidate the business over the long term, the following guidelines have been adopted:

  • Act as a facilitator for clients in the provision of services and marketing of products through technical, commercial, logistical and financial support, minimizing risks and maximizing results.
  • Meeting customer expectations with innovations, customized solutions and continuous improvement through tax, legal, market, supplier base, international logistics, production processes and quality knowledge.
  • Developing the company through best practices and procedures, new technologies, qualified teams, an inclusive and diverse work environment, strategic partnerships, fostering organizational motivation.
  • Investing in infrastructure, capacity building and training, as well as developing sustainable activities aimed at making the team aware of the impacts on the environment, safety and occupational health.

ARGOS DIVERSITY BUSINESS
